SIGNALS FROM THE DEEP
This project started the history of WETDREAMSEXCITER.
Signals from the Deep (SFTD) was launched on January 1, 2020, as a 24/7 audiovisual broadcast on YouTube. Due to the complexity of the concept and its implementation, the authors decided to close the project. Videos that were made for SFTD are available on our youtube channel, as well as the crypto assets made based on the project.
At this moment, SFTD is still available on youtube channel and DU-VHS app. The authors of the project are working on rethinking the concept of the broadcast and on creating new content for it.
Basic concept and description:
Signal from the Deep – it’s a 24-hour audiovisual ambient dreampunk broadcast, an endlessly looped stream, based on the concept of UGC (User-generated content), where anyone with certain skills can create art and influence the course of the story.
Our goal is to bring together: digital/traditional artists, live coding programmers, vj and cg/vfx artists with the ability to implement personal projects and collaborations within our community.
The broadcast is based on an episodic release model.
At its core, the artistic idea of SFTD broadcast explores the topic of self-determination and the search for one’s own path. Leave your piece of something absolutely selfless in the eternity of an infinite stream.
It is a metaphor for a collective unconscious that is woven from fragments of dreams and memories, which we can watch from any point in the story, being at once everywhere and nowhere.
